Have you made the decision to change your life by starting your own successful Internet businesses? If so your decision is the first step in the right direction. Now it is time for you to gain an understanding of how to start, market and run a successful Internet business.
In this post I will highlight my proven 4 step formula that I have personally used to start several HIGHLY profitable Internet businesses. You can use this same formula as a blueprint for starting your own successful Internet business.
Step 1: Find A Niche Market Starving For A Solution
Your first step in starting an Internet business is to find a hungry niche that interests and motivates you.
To uncover the niche that best fits you and offers you the highest chances of success focus on brainstorming and writing down your passion, your interests, or your hobbies. Dig deep within yourself and really pull out the areas in your life that drives you and motivate you on a daily basis.
Remember you want to have fun with your business so try to find the areas in your life that bring you happiness.
Whatever you do, don’t just jump online and make the mistake most people make by looking for any old “HOT” product to sell. If you do this you will likely find fierce competition which will put you on your own path to failure.
Once you have brainstormed, written down your hobbies, passions, and interests next you will want to categories the topics into niches or groups of people with similar interests.
Use these groups of people to do research on finding common themes of topics within a niche market. You will want to try to uncover what is hot in the niche, what are common problems in the niche, what are people talking about in the niche and what are the wants in the niche.
To accomplish this you can check out blogs, yahoo groups, google groups or even forums on the topic of the niche. Hang out for a while and figure out what people are really talking about and learn the niche inside and out.
Next, after you have identified the common themes in the niche and what people really want in the niche, you can create an information product to give them exactly what they are looking for. Secondly, you can identify a physical product to sell as well. Either way you are sure you have a market that will be eager to buy your products.
Once you are done identifying the hungry niche market to target you will then create a sales copy to sell your product.
Step two: Develop Captivating Sales Copy
This step is very important because it will be the step that is responsible for converting your websites traffic into a sale.
Most people are a little intimidated to write sales copy. However, there is no reason it needs to be difficult.
You need to focus on some common principles to make your sales copy a compelling.
Remember as you are writing your sales copy pretend you are in your potential customers shoes. Focus on writing sales copy that will push their emotional triggers and make them want to buy now.
The key to winning sales copy is to be persuasive, powerful headlines, discuss feature and benefits of your product and make your sales letter urgent giving potential buyers a reason to act now!
Step three: Drive Traffic To Your Website
Now that you have your niche chosen and your sales copy designed you need to focus on driving traffic to your website.
Here are some great ways to drive traffic to your website:
Step 4: Split Test Your Sales Copy And Increase Conversions
Once you have traffic flowing to your site you will next want to improve your conversion rate. To ensure your sales copy is converting at its highest rate you will want to make several versions of your sales copy changing them slightly.
You should focus on changing headline, sub headlines and other key components one at a time. Then you load up each into split testing software which will help you determine the sales copy with the highest conversion.
Improving your conversion is the cornerstone of turning your traffic into more sales.
Obviously these four steps are a high level formula to get you going in the right direction and started with a bang. Once you build some momentum incorporating these four steps you will want to expand your business in other areas, such as offline public relations, joint ventures, affiliate program etc…
Please keep me posted on your success.
