Have you overlooked podcasting with your online business? If so, this is a big mistake because podcasting is not only an excellent source of more website traffic for you, it adds tons of credibility to your business if done correctly.

Podcasting is a great way to build a relationship with your audience and also brand your site as an authority in your niche.  I highly recommend you give podcasting a serious look.

Creating a podcast is extremely simple. You just plug in a microphone and start talking. There is free software available that can allow you to easily create your own podcast and export it as an mp3. Probably the friendliest is Audacity.

Once you get your podcast created, it is now time to start getting traffic. To do this you will want to submit your podcast to the podcast directories. A directory called podOmatic is the biggest authority and has the most traffic, but there are many other directories that can be found at Podcast.net.

You will also want to upload your podcast to your blog and ping the RSS directories as discussed in my prior post Leveraging Website Traffic With Rss Feed Directories and Pinging. This will help your podcast get in all the RSS directories and even drive more traffic to your site.
