Guest posting is a popular means of producing relevant links to your site or your blog through links from other people’s blogs.

A business or individual will submit a post or an article to a blog to be posted and read by that blog’s users with two goals:

1. Supply relevant and useful material those readers will enjoy and who will than begin following your own blog, or who will visit your site.

2. It will create search engine “authority” on the subject covered, and an additional link which should help your own site or blog rank higher.

These benefits depend on a few factors. The site you are guest posting on needs to be a somewhat popular site with plenty of “natural” traffic – that is traffic based on real browsers looking for real information, and who stay on the pages long enough to read the content, and not bots produced to file through pages quickly to create false traffic.

That tactic no longer works with search engines (it never worked that well to start with).

Next, it must be relevant, not only your post, but your link. Search engines (and real human readers) won’t fall for a post on some unrelated topic, that than links somewhere that has little or nothing to do with either the blog where you posted or the post you submitted to the blog.

Here are the basic rules to follow while guest posting:

Make sure it is relevant as discussed.

Offer real information, not just a sales letter. Pretend you are the reader, what is something related to your topic that you would actually want to know or that you need to know?

Don’t copy content. The content has to be original or it will not be ranked, and search engine crawlers will find out if it is not original. Best case scenario, in a couple weeks once the crime’s been discovered your search ranking will take a hit, worse case your site or blog will be blacklisted altogether and no one will ever find it.

Pretty simple, but you’d be amazed how many waste time and money taking shortcuts, copying content, using bots, or supplying irrelevant information with a link on every forum they find.

Whether you are trying to improve your searchability yourself, or if you have hired a third party to help, make sure none of these tactics are being used or it will hurt in the long run.

Coming Up With Guest Post Ideas:

So now you know how to do it. Perhaps the most difficult part is continuously supplying fresh and relevant content. This will be essential to your efforts, and luckily there are a few simple ways to ensure you are staying relevant and new:

Become and expert – You probably already are somewhat knowledgeable about your product, service or blog. Keep up with the current trends, your competition, advancements in technology etc. Not only is this something you should be doing anyway for your business, but it will supply you with endless things to talk about.

Google alert – Part of becoming an expert is reading up on the subject. Google alerts notifies you when new content on your chosen subject is available without you having to search the internet for new things, so sign up for the program. It’s fast, easy and free.

Check out Yahoo Q&A sites – Unfortunately do to the freedom of posts here, there is some dead-end traffic and useless entries. However there are real people with questions and real people answering when you can find them. Look for stuff in your niche, and give good answers. This doesn’t mean “visit my site right now, we’re the best!” It means actually answering the question, then once you’ve answered the question you can put a link. Don’t make them follow a link for the answer either. You can post your own questions as well. Some of the questions may make for great material on your next post as well.

Social Networks and forums – Do a search on your topic and see if anything interesting and yet unexplored on the blog you wish to post on shows up.

Between those four sources, you should be able to find plenty to write about. Good luck!

As I write this blog post for you, it is 12:45am in Southern California. I am super excited because I am going to share with you something that could change your life forever.

See the biggest problem with earning money online is most people never get past the first step of making the first $.

I know how that feels, I was there once.

You have all this excitement when you discover the amount of money that can be made online, but then you try and fail.

That failure kills your inspiration.

If you let your failure drive your belief, it will kill your natural ability to leverage the power of the internet to ignite your income!

There are very few examples in history of a change were a person in any country in the world could go from poverty to a millionaire. The internet provides that money making power.

Like I said I know how it is to fail and lose inspiration. I was almost there when I was a newbie at internet marketing.

But luckily I didn’t let it happen or right now you wouldn’t be reading one of the top blogs on make money online.

To get to where I am today, I did exactly what I am going to tell you to do in this post.

This is the formula I used to go from a newbie to my first $100 a day and scale that $100 to $1,000s.

Rule number #1 is simplicity. Making things too complicated is a big reason most people fail online.

As most people fail they start searching for more information about how to make money online.

Then information overload sets in and everything becomes complicated.

That is not the formula to success. If you find yourself there now, you have to forget all that crap and focus on simplicity.

This making money online stuff isn’t that hard. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to make a $100 a day.

And to scale that $100 a day to $1000 a day you certainly don’t need to be a rocket scientist.

The hardest part in your first $100 a day is not losing your inspiration.

Yea you’ll have failure along the way. And you’ll think it’s hard, but all that thinking is making your life complicated.

Complication = failure online.

You have to get all that complicated stuff out of your head and focus on simplicity.

In my writing on this blog, I try to keep it simple so I can help you achieve success.

I want to help you, but I can’t do that if you make things complicated and kill your own inspiration.

Rule # 2 is making money online comes down to three things. Build traffic, build relationship with your visitors and convert relationships with visitors into customers.

That’s it. It doesn’t matter what market you are in. That’s the simple formula.

You don’t need to worry about all those other things that complicate your life.

Keep it simple!

When I started this blog I’d never blogged before. I had 100 reasons to make blogging complicated.

Instead I just kept it simple by building traffic and relationships with my readers, and the money followed.

And this blog isn’t the only time I used the three step formula. This is the exact formula that changed my life when I was a newbie and almost gave up on making money online.

I have used this formula in every niche I am in and it worked every time since I discovered it!

Rule # 3 relationships with your visitors is major lesson for you. People don’t like to be sold. That doesn’t mean people don’t like to buy.

People will buy from you when you give them extraordinary value.

You see this in the world around you everyday. Apple created extraordinary value with the iphone and ipad which has people in a buying frenzy.

You have to do the same thing in your marketing. That means building a relationship with your site’s visitors and giving them so much value they can’t help buying from you.

Just the other night I was listening to a webinar with one of the top internet marketers.

The value provided on this webinar was so great that all the listeners were just blown away.

By the end of this webinar the listeners felt like they had just hit the lotto for $20 million.

The value was so extraordinary one of the listeners told the webinar host “I Love You!”

This is a grown man telling the host (another grown man) he love him because he was so giddy about the opportunity to make money online with the information discussed in the webinar.

When you can achieve this in your marketing you have hit gold. You have provided so much value that visitors can’t help themselves to buy from you.

And it doesn’t matter what market you’re in. You have to brainstorm how you can add value and be unique.

What can you provide your visitors that your competitors aren’t? Is there specific information you can provide that makes you unique? Can you show an undercover video of information that is not commonly known?

Those are all things that make visitors see you different and explode your conversion.

Rule #4 take massive action. Without action none of the above three rules will ever work.

Yea you might fail at first but without trying you’ll never get anywhere.

If you find yourself not taking action ask yourself everyday what’s the worst that can happen.

That is an easy answer. You fail. But you learn. Or you succeed and change your life.

Either way you learn a ton, and that is better off then where you are with taking no action and sitting on your a$$.

When I first started online my ability to take action was killed by trying to find out how to succeed online.

I’d read sales pages, view forums and waste so much time I never had anytime to take action.

Until I shut all this out of my life, I never made a dime online. The day I figured that out my life and freedom changed forever.

So that is it for this post:

Keep it simple.

Build traffic & relationships.

Take massive action!

So what struggles are you having with trying to earn money online?

There seems to be a new, hot topic lately among some of the visitors to my blog. Many have asked me about the relative effectiveness of on-page versus off-page optimization. One reader specifically said that he had just spent a fair amount of time optimizing his web page with Word Presser but saw very little improvement in his page’s search engine results ranking.

Had he wasted all that time optimizing his page, when he should have concentrated on off-page optimization instead? Is one more important than the other, or should each type of optimization receive the same amount of our time? In short, where do we get the most bang for our buck, on-page or off-page?

The most definitive answer I can come up with, unfortunately, is…. it depends.

The Power of Backlinks; It’s All About Who You Know

Most of us have caught onto the fact that Google is far less interested in what is on your page than who likes your page. Google actually relies a lot on popular opinion; if someone reads your article and likes it enough to link back to it, that’s worth Google juice. If this backlink comes from a “trustworthy” site, even better!

Don’t underestimate the effectiveness of social media, either. “Likes” on Facebook and “Tweets” on Twitter are just as effective as backlinks, as is positive feedback through Diggit and StumblelUpon. Any time that one human refers your webpage to another human, Google takes note and presumes that is a positive thing.

Acquiring quality backlinks, particularly by using applicable anchor text, is the best way to improve your page’s Google ranking for the most competitive keywords. Consequently, whether you’re selling books, offering free online car insurance quotes, or recruiting students for weekend snorkeling classes, your time will be well-spent optimizing off-page.

Producing Quality Content; Optimization by Accident

One happy result of the recent Panda update is that we will begin to see more quality content in the top search engine results. The new Google standards will require that articles be written to be read by people, not just the search engine, and that they be informative and relevant to a specific keyword.

Another happy result of this is that writers will be able to concentrate on writing well and still enjoy the benefits of some inadvertent on-page optimization. By simply explaining your topic properly, you will be including – and ranking well for – some low competition, long-tailed keyword phrases.

Proper Keyword Placement; Optimization with a Purpose

Once you’ve crafted a well-written and informative article, though, it is still worth your while to make sure the target keywords are in the right places. For instance, that keyword should be in your article’s title as well as the first or second paragraph. If you could include the keyword in your H1 tag, that’s bound to help, as well.

If your page doesn’t have a meta description, Google will create one by grabbing a random block of 160 characters from your page, and using those characters as a page description under your link on the search engine results page.

If you’ve carefully written your first paragraph as an introductory paragraph and included your target keyword in the right place, and if you’re reasonably sure that the algorithm will know enough to pick that particular paragraph as a text sample, this practice will work well.

On the other hand, if you would rather not take the chance, creating a good meta description is the best way to showcase your keywords – and your article – to Google and any prospective site visitors.

As most of you have already concluded, any website that offers free online auto insurance quotes, under-priced designer shoes, or over-priced teacups would benefit from a customized meta description rather than any random 160 characters that Google grabs from your page.

On-Page vs. Off-Page Optimization; the Final Verdict

Optimization is important, whether it takes place on-page or off-page. The different kinds of optimization accomplish different tasks; that’s the only distinction.
If you want to rank well for the lower-competition, long-tailed keyword phrases, then on-page optimization will do the trick. If you want an overall improvement in your search engine results ranking for all keywords, then off-page optimization will do the job nicely.

Perhaps most importantly, if you want a successful webpage, both kinds of optimization are necessary. You should optimize on your page with properly placed keywords and quality content, as well as off of your page by establishing quality backlinks.

This has been my experience, anyway. If you have other thoughts, I’d love to hear them!

Internet markets are rapidly seeing the benefits of online video and are adapting it into their marketing mixes. However, the reason marketer’s online video content is becoming so successful compared to that of other online video users, is their use of tracking. The following article explores the importance of tracking online videos and how doing so can improve your online video marketing.

1. Why Tracking Online Videos Is Important
The idea of tracking your online videos is pretty simple, if you don’t track your videos how do you know they’re working? From the outset of your online video marketing campaign you should set out clear goals you want your video to achieve. Whether you want your online video to increase website traffic, improve conversion rates or just generate more Twitter Followers you need to know your goals to track the success of your campaign.

2. Tracking Your Online Videos
There are some great tracking tools out there that you can use to analyse and evaluate the performance of your online video strategy. YouTube offers YouTube Insight for absolutely free, which lets you know when users are turning your content off, where they found your video and what country they’re watching it from. Google Analytics is also a great way of tracking how much traffic and conversion has been generated from users watching your online video on a particular website. Software like HootSuite will allow you to monitor the increase/decrease in social media activity as a result of your campaign to see if you’ve generated more interaction with your audience or gained more likes/followers.

3. When To Track Your Online Videos
The frequency of which you track your online videos is entirely down to the goals you’re trying to achieve and the longevity of your campaign. If your campaign is designed to last 6 months then checking its progress on a bi-weekly or monthly basis would be appropriate. However, if your campaign is only for a month then checking its progress weekly or even daily would be more beneficial. In theory the more often you track your videos the quicker you’ll know if there’s an issue with your campaign that needs to be amended. Although, tracking your online videos too often could give mixed readings on your campaign. If your strategy hasn’t had long enough to sink in to the World Wide Web then the results of your tracking may not be quite accurate.

4. The Cost Of Tracking Your Online Videos
The cost of tracking your online videos could surprise you. Tools like YouTube Insight, TubeMogul and Google Analytics are all completely free to use. Some tracking tools that Vimeo and HootSuite use you will have to pay for, but the cost is very little compared to the value of the data. Every marketer knows that time is money, so will tracking your online videos cost you an arm and a leg with the time it takes to analyse the data? Assessing and obtaining this data can be found, downloaded and printed off in less than 5 minutes. These tools show your data in easy to digest ways allowing you to get crucial information at a moments glance.

Summary
There you have it, your essential guide to tracking your online video marketing strategies. By taking on board the tips and suggestions in this article you can stay on top of your online video campaigns and make the necessary changes to them early on, in order to maximise your campaigns impact on the World Wide Web.

The question of the day for all business owners: “Is Twitter making you money yet?”

I can’t tell you how many businesses with Twitter profiles that I have come across where it takes me approximately 2 minutes to determine they have absolutely no idea how to leverage their Twitter account to make them money.

In fact, when it comes to checking out their business, I’m actually turned off simply because I’m irritated they haven’t taken the time to learn Twitter and use it appropriately.

Whether or not you have an online business or a local restaurant, Twitter can be used to increase your revenue, and if it’s not, you’re probably not using it right.

Here are three easy tips to get you started using it correctly. And, I think chances are good that once you start to see the difference, you’re going to take it and run.

Who to Follow & Why

For start up Twitterers, the biggest problem I see is in the followers. It takes time to build up a large following, that’s a given.

However, following thousands of random people will do you little to no good. Likewise, if you’re a coffee shop, running searches and following every person who tweeted “#coffee” this morning is not going to get you the following that you need.

Now, for the sake of this article, let’s say you are a coffee shop and we’ll run with that for this post. You are a local coffee shop in San Diego. Now, since you’re not going to follow everyone in the world who loves coffee but who has zero chance of actually visiting your coffee shop given that they live in Houston, you need to follow the people of San Diego, and more than that, the right people in San Diego.

You need to search out the coffee gurus. The foodie and restaurant aficionados. Bottom line, you need to follow the people who have massive followings and who hold clout with the people of San Diego, especially when it comes to coffee. Follow the premier Yelpers, YelpSanDiego, for example.

Follow the local “calendar” Twitter accounts, the local deal accounts, and follow the prominent mommy-blogger Twitterers, these guys are dominating right now. The underlying goal is followers, followers who will turn into dollars. The followers that follow you because someone reputable followed you are the right ones.

Interactions, How?

Now, assuming you’ve done your research and you’ve found and followed the right people, you have to start interacting. They sure aren’t going to follow some random coffee shop for no reason, let alone make mention of you.

This is where you really have to do some legwork. I suggest you go places that these people suggest. Did they recommend a new restaurant? Go check it out. And then Tweet it: “@YelpSD recommended @Paul’s sandwiches, checked it out, they were right! #bestsandwhichSD.”

Do multiples of those, Tweet YelpSD and ask them a question, what do they recommend for ________? And, finally, once you’ve gotten a conversation flowing with them, then (not before they know you!) invite them in to your shop.

Take it a step farther and offer them a free meal. You’ve got to make it worth their effort to come in. I’d also go for asking them to let you know when they come in, and then you can personally meet them and ensure that their experience is fantastic.

This is how you’ll get Re-Tweets from influential accounts when you post your 10% off day and your #freecupofcoffeeday.

Branding, Twitter Style

If you aren’t following @PopChips yet, go follow them today and start studying how they brand themselves. The more of a name, and beyond that “brand” you can create for yourself on Twitter, the more drastically you will see your sales increase, guaranteed.

This means being active in the community. You don’t even have to promote your product whatsoever. All you’re promoting (subtly) is your business name. Go volunteer with some big race and Tweet it, you’re almost guaranteed somebody will mention you being there.

Donate coffee cups to a big soup kitchen and Tweet it. Chances are pretty high the kitchen will Tweet a thank you back, and instant name. Take your employees out of the store and have them run a 5K. The more your name starts popping up as trendy and hip, the more people are going to come see you and the more your profits will rise.

Encourage your employees to Tweet while at work: “just whipped up the most awesome caramel Twix frappuccino yet, #dangI’mgood!” Hip, cool, come hither, sexy Tweets. Those are the ones that will get people to recognize your name, and start to look for your witty tweets on a daily basis just to see what you’re up to, and eventually they’ll come.

Don’t Miss Your Shot

The options for monetizing with Twitter are endless, and if you’re looking to make money on Twitter without even owning a business, you can easily do that too.

Look into sponsored Tweets and promotional Tweets. Twitter is here to stay and has proven itself to be much more than a passing fad, so get yourself involved and start capitalizing on the opportunity. What have you got to lose? Except income, that is.

Guest posting has remained the #1 proven way of driving free targeted traffic to your blog and website.

The traffic the guest posts drives is usually targeted, rich and converts well. However, you need a combination of creativity and marketing-mastermind to achieve results. So many bloggers who write guest posts do not derive huge benefits from it because they’ve missed the 4 essential elements.

And because you’re here, I’m going to reveal the 4 vital elements, that would catapult your write-ups to the sky and cause you to experience a surge of fresh readers, instant do-follow backlinks and increase in your pagerank.

If you’re ready to learn, let’s do it…

1. Research Your Topic Properly

My first 4 months of writing guest posts was a mess. I don’t even research topics and although, my work was published, the highest traffic I could get was 100 or less. But all that have changed now. You need to research the topic you want to write. Get in tune with the kind of content the blog owner likes. You also need to read several posts from the archive to know which ones got the highest comments.

When you write your guest article having this in mind, you automatically increase your chances of getting social love from the readers. One of your goal whenever you write a guest post is to make sure it attracts the social environment. If no one tweets or shares your article, that’s an indication that you did not interest them. Avoid this by making your posts sticky, interesting and full of uniqueness.

2. Pitch First – Write Second

This element of guest posting is very important. I see a lot of writers who complain that their article was rejected. One way of getting published is to pitch your opponent first. Let them know about the topic, the title and a little about the description. If you’ve been successful with your posts on a few blogs, rant about it on your email message.

No one is going to call you an expert, until you let them know you’re one. Pitching helps to soothe the receiving end, so that when you eventually submit the complete article, the spirit of rejection is out of the way. Creating first impression is very important, and writers know this like the back of their palm. A perfect pitch helps to create that first impression – resulting in a “YES.”

So, don’t write your guest posts before contacting anyone. Contact them first with what you have in mind; topic, title, description, your name, blog and skill. It makes a lot of difference between articles that made it to the homepage and those that didn’t.

3. Write With Your Own Voice

Everyday, I receive over 15 guest posts from bloggers across the blogosphere, and about 10 would be rejected. If this have happened to you before, I know the problem. Even though your article is great, keyword rich and informative, experienced writers don’t count this.

Instead, what matters is your writing style. We all know about the top 10 ways to drive traffic to blogs, why should I get your post published when I already know it – even my readers do too? What we need is your voice.

How would you present a common topic in an extraordinary way? You can’t please blog readers by simply writing about common ideas, you need to protrude your voice. It’s your uniqueness, how you see the problems they have and what you’re doing to solve it.

Your voice makes the difference. So, when you need to get your guest article accepted, don’t be like the desperate writers (beginners), take your time and coin those words. Success begins with attributing time to events, and watch them unfold. This is the underground secret to featuring your guest post on A-list blogs. Make sure you utilize this secret today.

4. Keep Abreast Of Hot Trends

We are living in an ever-changing world and the internet is at the top of it all. Human wants are insatiable and so they long for greener pastures. These pastures are information that have not been before.

They are hot trends. As a blogger, one thing that readers are desperate for is “the latest happenings around.” No matter the field you are in today, there are events unfolding every passing day. Glowhost and hostgator released some of their coupon codes recently and it became popular. Hot trends work!

Writing a guest post on these hot trends is the surest path to a positive answer. For instance, when the recent Google panda updates went out a few months ago, websites were hungry for contents in this regard and several fresh contents made it to the frontpage of authority blogs.

Stay off the radar and watch. You would discover amazing blog posts ideas to help you enhance and increase your chances of featuring your best works on high trafficked blogs. As a side note, hot trends tends to bring more traffic than archaic trends – you know what to do in this regard, don’t you?

Marketing Takeaway

All in all, what is your success so far with guest posting? We all have 24 hours every single day to spend. Some are going to waste it, while others are going to invest it. If you must invest in anything worthwhile on the internet, draw your scale of preference and make sure guest posting is at the top. See you at the top!

Blogging is used for any number of reasons, obviously it is fundamental to be able to write well and understand what keeps the reader’s attention. But there is more to it than that. So, what are the traits a blogger needs?

An Understanding of Social Media

Social media is not merely a medium of staying in contact, it has now become an essential part of search engine optimisation, creating viral pieces and also informing a target audience of your blog. Social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, DiggIt and even the likes of Google+ offer a new and ever changing way to connect with your audience, as well as create a new one. Google+ and its new circles feature will change the way this is done, allowing bloggers to place certain articles of interest to particular groups of people into certain groups or Circles. This will mean a new and more specific
way of interesting people in your blogs.

Encourage and harvest message and comment boards

After you write a blog, pay particular attention to your message boards and use them to stimulate discussion on your site. Understanding what will get people involved and engaging them through your boards is a great way to get people to read your blog on a regular basis and this sort of interaction is essential. Harvest and use what they say to come up with more ideas for future blogs, this means you are giving the audience what they want.

Know your audience

Understanding your audience and what makes them tick is essential for blog writers. Researching other similar blogs, the people who read yours and all the ins and outs of the industry or topic you write about is of essence when blogging. This is also essential afterwards, as you can gather from out previous tip, you need to keep people engaged and understand them to get them coming back for more.

Use Media

Varying the means with which you communicate can make your blog far more attractive for readers, as well as giving them something a little different. Videos and podcasts offer different opportunities for bloggers to explore and use. These mediums can give your site something different and offer more potential than the written word alone. Understanding the basics of these media mediums can be very easily done – look it up on YouTube or in your library.

Tech Stuff

Having a basic understanding of HTML, SEO and some other programming languages can have its benefits. Knowing how to tag or finding out the best keywords for your article is essential in the rankings game. Knowing how to lay out pages properly is also essential. Blog readers want certain things such as short paragraphs, bold sub headings and a number of other things. Read up on these and increase the readability of your text online.

Google Panda is Google’s newly launched feature aiming to get rid of low quality and duplicate content websites. This basically affects sites having irrelevant or duplicate content. So if you are running blogs and websites, it is really crucial to produce only high quality write ups making sure that everything is Google Panda safe. Below are few tips.

1. Do Not Duplicate your Content

The major culprit that Google Panda strikes out is duplicate web content. So if your content resembles that of another website, then your website is at risk of experiencing a dip in web traffic. To solve this, have the content of your website changed/re-written. You can also have your web page blocked with a web bots such that you page will not be indexed.

2. Build your Link with Social Media Websites.

Harness the benefits of social media websites to divert traffic to your website. Post your links that point to your website on these websites, Surfers can be directed to your social media page then eventually to your landing page. This way also builds up the much needed targeted traffic.

3. Invent Original Content

With free flow of information on the internet, plagiarism is inevitable. There is a lot of same information and this is the issue that Google panda is addressing. So, taking time to mine new information is a sure way to keep your website from being dropped by the Google panda algorithm. Source for original information.

4. Give Special Attention to On-Page SEO

On-Page SEO (search engine optimization) allows you to improve your visitors experience so that you can achieve your intended goal. You do not want your visitors to just view your page and bounce off to another website. Customize your webpage so that your visitors can respond in the desired way.

5. Furnish your Website with impressive features

People love variety. Some people love content in video formats, others love to have the information in printable format so having a print friendly version will be beneficial and some love summarized versions of content. Ensure that features that allow these formats are incorporated to increase traffic to your website. This can also serve to make your website a preferred choice in your niche.

The nuggets discussed above are simple but may take a while before you start experiencing its results. A little patience will be required but remember that it will be worth it in the long haul. Go ahead and employ them and watch worthwhile results emerge!!

Drop your comments if you found this article beneficial.

When you’re attempting to create and market a new blog or website, having an ad server host PPC ads on your site can make a huge difference in your bottom line.

While thousands of dollars a month might be a goal a bit too lofty to shoot for, a well-trafficked, nicely-maintained, reader-friendly, interesting site with nonintrusive ad options can make some serious money over its lifetime. And when it comes to ads, where’s the first place everybody turns to? Google AdSense!

Unfortunately, however, Google isn’t exactly as accepting as they once were. And why should they be? Back when AdSense was a relatively new concept, Google didn’t care very much about how their ads were spread out and about. They were making the lion’s share of the money from advertisers; but now that they’re the single biggest name in the net, they’re a bit more selective about to whom they’ll allow into their club.

So if you have been denied by Google, or even if you choose not to submit to Google’s ironfisted rule over your domain, we will discuss some legitimate AdSense alternatives.

What makes this article different from other articles you’ll read online? For starters, I work for quite a few popular websites out there, including CarInsuranceList.com and DatingSites.org, so I’m not some Johnny-come-lately whose idea of “information” is plucking the first few AdSense competitors from a search engine and telling you that they’re viable alternatives.

These alternatives are ones I have personally used, and I can personally attest to their effectiveness.

Are they as good as Google? Honestly, nothing is as good as Google. Google has the best servers, the best advertisers, the most options, and they offer the biggest earning potential. But they’re also the most stubborn. Some people need alternatives – like me. Not all of my domains have been approved, so I’ve had to use alternate ad servers.

Great AdSense Alternatives

AdBrite

Although their website isn’t very colorful, AdBrite is a legitimate ad server that offers you a ton of cool options, including customizable ad campaigns and even in-video ads via an AdBrite dedicated web player (which actually loads, unlike that Google/YouTube Flash nightmare).

Publishers have the option of getting really involved in a hands-on way, setting ad rates and receiving 75% of all revenue. The service only pays out via check, but the best ones usually do.

Their servers are also reliable. It may take about a full day for the ads to show up, but once up, you’ll rarely catch one of those annoying “page cannot be displayed” messages from their ads. Overall, AdBrite is a really solid service.

Chitika

Chitika catches some flak in the industry because their ads aren’t exactly as cool as some of the other guys. Their ads are mostly text-based. Chitika plays well with other ad servers. If you have an AdBrite account and some extra space, throwing a Chitika button on your website is a smart play. They pay out through click and per a thousand impressions, meaning that you will get paid if you have visitors.

Chitika also pays through PayPal, which is great for site owners who want to get their money right away. And on the plus side, if you do pick up a lot of traffic, you will be considered a “Premium” site and get some great, well-paying ad scripts.

Kontera

Another service paying through PayPal, Kontera is a serious ad service that pays out well if you get a lot of site traffic. The best part about Kontera, and what makes them a great AdSense alternative, is that you do not even need space on your site to use them. As long as you have text, you simply add a short script into the body of your html, and Kontera will target keywords in your text and create those floating ads when someone hovers over them.

Kontera is probably the easiest to set up and has high CPC and CTRs. Kontera is essentially a plug-and-play service.

All in all, Google is the Stealth Bomber of the sky’s fighting jets, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find some other jets out there cruise around in. These three AdSense alternatives are legitimate and will help turn your site or blog into a true money-maker.

If you own or write in a blog, you might understand the importance of keeping your blog very fresh and making sure your audience is interested in whatever it is you are saying. It can be quite challenging for bloggers to create popular posts that are going to captivate their readers and keep them coming back for more.

If you need ideas on the types of blog posts you can write, the following are some tips that can get you started.

‘Quick Tips’ Blog Posts

These are usually between 150 and 250 words. They share ideas which are relevant but that don’t justify writing a lengthy blog post. Quick tips posts are great because they are simple, brief and to the point.

‘How To’ Blog Posts

These blog posts offer more details in an expanded format compared to quick tips blog posts. Such posts provide information on how to do specific things within your niche.

‘Review’ Blog Posts

These blog posts involve writing a service or product review to help readers make a choice in the buying process. When you write such posts, make sure you include affiliate links so you can have the opportunity of making commissions on the blog posts. I use review blog posts frequently to help customers make a choice when purchasing ediet coupons and weight watchers discounts from my blog.

‘Resource’ Blog Posts

This type of blog post is basically a resource list. In many cases, blog readers would love to see lists of resources. Therefore, make sure you provide such lists occasionally.

‘Interview’ Blog Posts

Blog readers usually love interview posts, especially those which interview a person they admire and would like to know about. Such posts can be very useful for directing traffic to your site.

‘Best Of’ Blog Posts

Such blog posts are ideal for wrap ups at the end of the year. If you read a lot, list your favorite guides, books or articles which you have enjoyed in the past one year. Alternatively, you could highlight your own outstanding articles in the wrap up.

‘Personal Story’ Blog Posts

Most blog readers appreciate personal stories. Your readers will appreciate such blog posts since they relate to both you and your niche. Talk about seminars that you attended, new products you have tried, mistakes you have learned from, and so on.

‘News’ Blog Posts

Every single niche has vital news and related events that you could write about. Keep your eyes and ears wide open so that you can write about events in your niche as they happen.

Author Bio

Charles is a technology lover who also blogs about special coupon and discount offers such as weight watchers discounts and ediet coupons. Recently, he shared weight watchers online coupon codes and ediets coupon in CouponTriumph, a coupon blog.
