Saying you work from home does not necessarily mean you have a business. People assume that working from home means you don’t have a boss. But so many individuals are employed by companies that encourage telecommuting jobs.
Telecommuting has become popular nowadays. In-house employees need to go to work daily, while telecommuting employees need to report via email daily. Employees that telecommute are often using the internet. Some employees use email to send their work. Those employees who work from home have become extremely dependent on the internet.
If a company wants to cut costs, he can implement a telecommuting policy. Sending the employees home will free up a large amount of office space. Companies can cut costs when they allow telecommuting jobs. The company can quit renting too many rooms. Instead of renting too many rooms, only a few can be rented to accommodate the admin staff.
There are companies that would rather have off-site employees. In fact, the people who are likely to telecommute are those that the company trusts. When employees telecommute, they are expected to submit the same quality of work compared to when they were working in house.

Of course, there are positives and negatives to working from home or telecommuting. The company might have to be the one to shoulder internet bills. The company must shoulder expenses like electricity or internet. The company should also make sure that the computer and other company given gadgets are not being used haphazardly or for non-related matters. A dip in productivity may also be expected if the employees laze about.
